CMRS seeks more info, Badarpur Metro line delayed - The Times of India

The start of Sarita Vihar to Badarpur Metro line is delayed according to news appeared in TimesofIndia website because Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety has asked some technical details from DMRC after inspecting the section. This section covers three stations namely Mohan Estate , Tughlaqabad and Badarpur. While the line from Central Secretariat to Sarita Vihar started on 3rd October, 2010 for CommonWealth Games Opening Ceremony but from Sarita Vihar to Badarpur Route is not started due to delay and accident at Zamrudpur.
At the time of opening Sarita vihar to Central Secretariat line it is said that Sarita Vihar to Badarpur line will start before Diwali but still is not started, it raises a question that how the CMRS cleared the Sarita Vihar  to Central Secretariat line in just two days and now cleared the rest of section even after 3 days. It shows that compromise has been done during the inspection of Central Secretariat to Sarita Vihar line and nobody knows what loopholes left in the civil construction. All has been done to meet the deadlines of CommonWealth.
No doubt that DMRC has executed the Phase-I in a good way with very good quality construction and in phase - II it used some new techniques and latest international technology. Also DMRC is world class organisation but in phase-II some compromise has been made to meet the CommonWealth Games Deadline.
I hope that any loopholes which are compromised previously to save the pride of Nation in view of CommonWealth Games will be reviewed and corrected by Delhi Metro.
It is really a hurricane task to execute and manage the Metro Rail project but Mr. E Sreedharan has really become an example in front of whole world that what talent Indian peoples have.
I wish Mr. E Sreedharan Best of luck.

Delhi Metro Rail started Inderlok-Mundka Route

Today DMRC inaugurated its Inderlok Mundka line. DMRC has given it a name of Green Line and It is the first line of Delhi Metro which is using standard gauge instead of broad gauge and by starting of this route on standard gauge, Delhi Metro becomes the only Metro in the World having trains on both gauge standard and broad. Now the Metro network has expanded to more than 100 km.

The length of Inderlok Mundka route is 15.1 KM and will take 29 minutes in comparison to one hour travel by road. Residents and peoples of Paschim Vihar and Punjabi Bagh will be able to take benefit of this route. Now the peoples of Delhi must come forward to ride on metro and take off their vehicles from the road as it will not only save their time but will reduce the pollution in city.

By use of standard gauge metro has saved a good amount of money and DMRC team must be congratulated for it. Hopefully before Commonwealth Games will be able to start Badarpur, Gurgaon & Airport routes. Also DMRC must maintain strict safety measures and highest and best quality of construction.

Best of luck to DMRC team.

Metro to Manesar on the Cards (Around town)

As per the news on Indian Express website Captain Ajay Singh Yadav, State Finance Minister, Govt. of Haryana announced in his budget speech on Wednesday that Government is planning to extend Metro to Manesar in addition to extension of Delhi Metro to Faridabad. He mentioned that linking of Bahadurgarh with Mundka border is also under process and Gurgaon Delhi Metro link is near completion.

The expansion of Metro in nearby areas of Delhi will increase connectivity and reduce traveling time for Delhi for the people living in surrounding areas of Delhi. It will definitely increase business / service sector scope the city. Metro will also contribute to control increasing level of pollution in NCR region.

Hope that after completion of Commonwealth Games infrastructure projects will not put in to cold bags.

It is very important to complete the project on time as it saves taxpayers money.

DMRC Deadlines

Delhi Metro, Delhi ki San in last one year has seen two accidents claiming some innocent lives at site of DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation). Recent accident took place near Lady Sriram College in East of Kailash claiming many lives. After this incident taking the moral responsibility DMRC Chief Mr. E Sreedharan resigned and government did not accepted his resignation. As per reports available till now it is found that their is a fault in design of pillar and may be sub standard material had been used, I request Mr. Sreedharan to go for checking of all metro bridges, pillars, stations and wherever a fault is found the corrective action must be taken on urgent basis and the guilty must be brought to justice. Repair work of damaged metro bridges/pillars etc. must be recovered from the person / company responsible for it. Moreover all the design/drawings/material/technique used for ongoing work at different sites must be submitted sent to a special team constituted by technical experts but not by bureaucrats/political person and team must do the work in very fast manner. Then wherever team found any loophole it must be corrected on immediate basis without any delays.

Also it must be checked that all who suffered in these accidents gets claims/support/help without any hassles and no corruption is used in this process.

I wish Best of Luck to Mr. E Sreedharan for completion his commonwealth games deadline to complete phase II of Delhi Metro.
