Chandrayaan-1

Chandrayaan

India's first unmanned moon vehicle launched from Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota on Wednesday mounted on PSLV.ISRO Chairman G Madhavan Nair declared the launch successful and the news brings the smiles on the faces of all Indians. Now India is the the sixth nation after the US, Russia, European Space Agency, China and Japan, to send a mission to the moon.

Chandrayaan will take around 5 days to get to the moon. Its mission is high-resolution remote sensing of the Lunar surface in visible, near Infrared, low energy X-rays and high-energy X-ray regions and prepare a three-dimensional atlas (with a high spatial and altitude resolution of 5-10m) of both near and far side of the moon.

It will also conduct chemical and mineralogical mapping of the entire lunar surface for distribution of elements such as Magnesium, Aluminum, Silicon, Calcium, Iron and Titanium with a spatial resolution of about 20 km and high atomic number elements such as Radon, Uranium & Thorium with a spatial resolution of about 40 km.

Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar3 Brain Lara

On October 17, 2008 Sachin Tendulkar again surpassed a milestone set by his fellow great cricketers like Alan Border, Brian Lara, Sunil Gavaskar and others. First he break the highest test run record of Brian Lara by making 11953 runs and then completed 12000 runs in Test Cricket (A Great achievement not only for all Indians but for every cricketer and every sportsman in this world.). I hope that he will cross the 15000 mark and he may be the one of the great sportsmen/cricketer who had so many number of records with him.

He had played since the age of 16 and playing till date without untiring efforts dedication and his love for cricket. Here I would like to mention the lines read in book YOU CAN WIN by SHIV KHERA that

"The average person puts only 25% of his energy and ability into his work. The world takes off its hat to those who put in more than 50% of their capacity, and stands on its head for those few and far between souls who devote 100%."

--Andrew Carnegie

And there is no doubt that Sachin had devoted his 100% energy to cricket.

BEST OF LUCK TO THE GREAT LITTLE MASTER AND A SON OF INDIAN SOIL.

Windows Vista

windows-vista-logo-1

Generally all the branded computers/laptops available in market comes with preloaded operating system i.e. Windows Vista. Many Versions like Windows Vista Home Edition, Windows Vista Business etc. are available but you will not find any laptop which comes preloaded with Windows XP and this is the blunder most of the users are fighting. Either purchase DOS based computer/laptop or go for VISTA but don’t have option of any other version of Windows. If you buy DOS based laptop / computer then you will not received the facility of backup & recovery software, driver of motherboard chipset, modem, wireless etc. The problem with the Vista is that if you want to add additional devices like camera, pen drive, printer etc with your computer in that case there is a possibility that it may not be compatible with your Windows Vista operating system. Either you have to buy a new vista compatible device or downgrade your computer. I am not against Vista as it may be technically better or its structure may be good for  advanced users but what about the common user.

I know that Windows XP have similar problem in starting (I mean when it launched) but the service pack have solved the Windows XP problem but as per my knowledge no service pack for Windows Vista have been released by Microsoft till date. It may possible that in near future they have some plans to release service pack for Vista but currently I am not aware about it.

The question is if you are facing problem with your computer/laptop which comes with preloaded vista and you want to downgrade to XP then what is the solution.

1. Did user need to pay additionally for Win-XP?

2. What about device drivers and other additional/ bonus software received (if you go for low level format*)?

*PLEASE DON’T FORMAT WITH PROPER INFORMATION & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE

3. Will it end After Sales Support Agreement with the manufacturer?

4. If in future you want to load Vista what is the procedure. Need to pay again for Vista)?

Many more queries like above will stand in front of common user.

Please send me your opinion about Windows Vista

Bomb Blast Victims

I read on a media website that announcement made by government / political leaders for compensation to the victims of Bomb Blast in Delhi on 13th September is yet not made. Political leaders immediately make announcement after any tragedy for compensation but the victims have to go again and again to government officer and plead with clerk, bureaucrats for compensation and they also need to pay some fixed amount to them as service fee otherwise the compensation money will not reach their hands. After paying all partners (clerk, officers & bureaucrats) victim in last gets a very little amount.

I feel ashamed that educated persons working in government departments do not understand the tragedy and pain of victims.

Corruption is really very high.

Please suggest your ideas to remove corruption.
