National Animal (Tiger)

From last few years our National Animal Tiger had been illegally killed on large scale by poachers for its skin, skull and bones. There are only 1,500 tigers (approx. figure) in India's reserves and jungles—down from about 3,600 just few years ago and an estimated hundred thousand a century ago, according to the government. Experts say tigers are killed for their pelts and body parts to make supply for Chinese traditional medicine market is a very big reason in the sharp decline of wild tigers in last few years. Trade of tiger’s body parts, skull, skin etc. is banned under the UN Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species, or CITES. One of the famous sanctuary ‘Sariska’ now do not have any Tiger as per the reports. Poaching had reached a level that Prime Minister himself has to intervene and initiated a mission to protect Tigers. A tiger's function in the scheme of things is to help maintain the balance in nature and if we do not take action to save the endangered species of Tigers immediately we will lost important part of our natural cycle. Awareness to save the tigers is very low among common peoples and urbanization must be done in a manner so that it does not affect the natural habitat of any species.

MS-Word

I use MS-Word several time a day and found a problem with bullets and numbering. If we are using bullets/numbering in our documents and press Enter to write new point than the first letter (starting letter) of the point must be capitalized automatically as this facility is present in previous versions of MS-Word but in MS-Word 2003 it is not available. Let me show you through an example.

At point no. 3 letter 't' must have been capitalised automatically which didn't happens.

If anyone of you knows the solution please update me.

MS-Excel 2003

From last two months I am making comparative reports related to costing of material in MS-Excel. I have used many mathematical formulas and found that it possible to display a cell value with or without decimal value even if cell contains the result of some formula but if you use the value of this formula as a whole (without decimal value) in calculation with some other cell the result will be calculated taking in consideration decimal values also. Let me shown you an example

Cell A1 = 1012 * 0.6 (with decimal value the result will be 607.20)
Cell B1 = 15
Cell C1 = A1 * B1 = 9108

Use of 2 decimal point
The value of C1 is 9108 when you use 2 decimal points
Without 2 decimal point
The value of C1 is 9108 when you use 2 decimal points

In both the cases the result is same.

While in actual calculation if we calculate 607.2 * 15 = 9108 and 607* 15 = 9105.

I think it is a loophole in MS-Excel if anyone out of you knows the solution, please mention.

Indian Share Market

Yesterday BSE Sensex was down by 833 points closed at 16630 one another biggest fall in history of market. The much awaited Reliance Power IPO listed in NSE at a price of Rs. 530/- touched high of Rs. 590/- and rolled down in minutes and closed at Rs.373/-. The predicted price range for this share was Rs.600-900 but the listing price of Rs.530 sent a negative shock wave in investors. The whole market was down due to Global cues. Investment Experts suggest that investor should not book the looses and wait for the stability. It is expected that market will further move down between 14500 - 15300. In last week Real Estate firm Emaar MGF & Wockhardt Hospitals pulled back their IPO offering from the market due to poor response. Here i would like to mention that since the time Reliance Power IPO came into market all the major/reputed shares like ONGC, SBI, NTPC, RPL, RCom etc. are down due to slow down in USA economy (the biggest economy in the world) and other global cues. In next 3-4 month market will recover and so the Reliance Power will also recover.

Government will definitely complete its duties in the budget and look out that investors interested is protected.

Today I think market will open at move upward in starting sessions.

India and Pakistan two neighboring country had fought three wars with each other. Both countries are engaged in acquiring, developing of new aircrafts, tanks, missiles, nuclear bombs etc. India conducted its first nuclear test in Pokhran, Rajasthan on May 24, 1974. After 23 years again India conducted three nuclear test on 11 May 1998 followed by two more test on 13 May 1998. In response to India’s nuclear test Pakistan also developed nuclear bomb and carried out five nuclear test on 28 May 1998 in Chagai Hills, Balochistan. The development of arms, weapons in India done by Defence Research Development & Organization (DRDO) and Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), Directorate of Technical Development (DTD) carries out this responsibility for Pakistan.

Recent development between India and USA for nuclear co-operation had developed another new twist in the scenario.

The development of missiles and nuclear bomb by these countries had generated arms race in South Asia. But in recent years India and Pakistan have initiated and developed peaceful relation with each other and started Samjahuta Express (train service), bus service and trading.

I am personally interested that India and Pakistan should become one following the path taken by Germany so that they can make history again. Both the countries have great potentials to become economically, politically, defense power in world.

Moreover before 1947 before independence, they are one.
