UP cops raped women, killed farmers: Rahul - Hindustan Times

UP cops raped women, killed farmers: Rahul - Hindustan Times

As per the statement of Congress leader Mr. Rahul Gandhi UP Cops raped women, killed farmers and Ash of 74 burnt bodies is being found in villages at Greater Noida at Bhatta Parsaul . This all is going because of land acquisition for Yamuna Express Way connecting Greater Noida and Agra. All the villagers know about it.
The most important question is does this police action sponsored by State Government and why no one is demanding a high level inquiry into it. Why not the retired Supreme Court Judge , Ex- Secretary Rank official and a Local Farmers representative is included in the panel to inquire about Police Atrocity.

Now the important question is why the Police always act outside legal limit whenever public stands against any point which harm their interest. Our police personnel are still acting in Pre-independence era but why they don't understand that India is a Independent country now and they should treat the citizen according to their rights and duties.

Today their is also a news in media and print section that Central Government is going to bring a Act in monsoon session of parliament regarding Land Acquisition and a State Tribunal will be made in every state.

The big question is that why government always acquire farming land, why we (the society, government, everyone) can't use non-farming land for development. It is a known fact that our developed cities are full of pollution, creating big problems for environment and facing huge crunch of drinking water, electricity, etc. We should not forget the environmental aspect.

IF NO FARMING LAND WHAT WILL WE EAT?

IF NO DRINKING WATER WHAT WILL HAPPEN?

IF NO CLEAN AIR HOW WE WILL BREATH?

Government must act hard & fast on cleaning the environment and do the planning for development & expansion in a way so that food security of nation don't have any burns.

ABOVE ALL NO POLITICAL LEADER SHOULD ACT ONLY FOR VOTE BANK BUT FOR REAL INTEREST OF NATION.

Jaitapura Nuclear Power Project

Yesterday One person died and some others injured in police firing at Jaitapura in Maharashtra. Some Policemen also get injured in stone pelting by agitating peoples. These Peoples who are agitating against 9900 MW Nuclear Power Project which is going to be established their by Central government. For this purpose government is acquiring land and removing peoples from that place. In Starting A group of peoples manhandled the Nate Police Station official and police started lathi charge and later on Fired in air to control the situation. In his last visit to Jaitapura, Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said no about any "re-think" on the proposed mega nuclear power plant at Jaitapur in Maharashtra. The boiling statement given by ShivSena Chief Bal Thackery and presence of local ShivSena representative has increased the intensity level of agitation.

My question is that in view of crisis at Japan , Fukushim Nuclear Power Plant should not we think about it and the safety arrangements must be made public. Also maintenance and backup plans for safety of plants must be made public every five years. Further residents of Jaitapura and nearby area should be taken in confidence by awareness but not through forcing them. The most important point is about the land on which Nuclear Power Plant is being established means if it is agriculture land than it should not be used and must be established on non-agricultural land because speed of land acquisition in last 2-3 decades is very fast and in coming decades India will don’t have any agricultural land and we become dependent on others for food security of our citizens. Already there is big scarcity of food in country and inflation rate is so high because of gap in demand and supply. The details about impact on environment of the Jaitapura and Maharashtra must be known to the peoples of that area.

How this Nuclear Power Plant is going to help the local peoples and what benefits it is going to give to the country, also how it could help in generating more security to basic needs of our citizens like Food, Water, clean environment etc.

Also Government must ensure that it do not becomes a case like Nandigarm and Singur in West Bengal.

Industrial projects (SEZ)

In last two three years three is too much written, shown and published in print and electronic media about land acquisition for big industrial projects, SEZ etc. Most common of these are Nandigram SEZ, TATA Nano motor plant at Singur, Reliance SEZ in Haryana, SEZ projects in Goa, etc. Few months back a big padal yatra held through many states reaching Delhi protesting against acquisition of land.

The main thing which comes to my mind why always fertile and productive land is used for industrial/commercial projects. Whenever fertile land is acquired , farmers gets unemployed and seek small service opportunity in industrial / commercial projects setup on their land.

A good solution of above is to use non-fertile land for industrial and commercial projects.  Acquisition of Non-productive land will give our country two tier profit system. While on one side it will not affect food production (which is already under pressure) and did not spreads unemployment in farmers on the other side it will use non fertile land and produce employment means double employment generation. Farmers who are already farming will work in their farms and rest unemployed peoples will work in industrial/commercial projects setup on non fertile land but the biggest hurdle in implementation of above is Corruption, Political wishes of our leaders and loopholes in system.

Since the announcement of TATA regarding closing of Nano plant in Singur everyone seems to be in favour of TATA’s but no one is saying why they are using fertile land? Previously everyone is saying and standing in favour of farmers.
