Faridabad

I read the news on indianews website that Haryana Government is agreed to the proposal of Metro connectivity for Faridabad and Ballabgarh. This news will definitely bring a ray of hope for daily commuters of Palwal, Ballabgarh & Faridabad as journey through Metro will be comfortable and fast. It will save lot of time which is wasted in traffic jams. I am also hopeful that Metro will bring down the traffic pollution level. As per the general awareness and observation peoples of Faridabad expecting that Metro route will go along National Highway-2 i.e. Mathura Road. Connectivity through Metro will also give the district industries a helpful hand. Various Huda sectors existing on both side of Mathura Road will definitely see a price rise in terms of Real Estate.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary Ms Sharda Rathore also announced that Faridabad will be developed as education hub as the district is hosting more than 500 technical institutes. It is worth to mentioned here that quality of basic education given by various schools in district is of international level as hundreds of students are selected in reputed engineering and medical entrance exams. Last year Distt. Faridabad makes history when it produced IIT-JEE Topper.

Ms Rathore also said that IMT would be developed at an area of 1800 acres in Faridabad and the pace of construction work of Badarpur Flyover on National Highway No. 2 would be increased. As per the news on Hindustantimes.com National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is trying to complete the Flyover before Commonwealth Games. Badarpur Flyover completion and construction of Metro will provide much long awaited relief to the commuters who face problem of traffic jam at Badarpur.

DAM Scandal

As per the story on the Hindustantimes.com a new scandal of dams has been added to existing long list of scandals. The current one is in Uttarakhand where many hydroelectric power projects (HEP) have been sanctioned. Number of Dams will be constructed on Bhagirathi, Alaknanda and Ganga for these HEP projects and these dams will kill the lifeline of Nation our famous River GANGA.

The above mentioned HEP projects will kill the lifeline of Nation river 'Ganga' famous for its religious attachment with peoples of India. Ganga is also very important source of water for big chunk of agricultural land in India and source of water supply for many states. As per the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) reports HEPS projects has been given to the companies who don't have any previous experience of building HEPs and the projects has been distributed in a way that it causes major revenue losses to the government. Also many big questions marks has been raised from environmental point of view for these projects.

Project developers has been favored by permitting them to divert the 90 per cent water of the river to the turbines which leaves only 10 percent for natural flow and in long term will lead to drying of river. The international standard for diversion of river water is maximum 75 percent. Already India has lost one of its famous river Saraswati and another river Yamuna is going through critical stages.

Hindustantimes also reported that government removed its power advisor and Chairman of its Jal Vidyut Nigam, Yogendra Pasadena so that he do not become a obstacle in “irregularities being done by the government”.

The biggest question is how the state and central government has passed all these projects and why the both levels of government did not think that leaving only 10 percent of natural flow in river will affect the agricultural crops and still a big slice of Indian population is dependent on agriculture. We all knows that agricultural production is a major factor in GDP of nation.

WE MUST SAVE OUR NATURAL RESOURCES TO SAVE OUR PLANET. WE ARE ALREADY FACING PROBLEM OF GLOBAL WARMING AND SCARCITY OF WATER.

PLEASE COME FORWARD TO RAISE YOUR VOICE AGAINST ABOVE.

Petrol & Diesel Prices

Today central government is going to decide on hike in rates of Petrol and Diesel which could be approximately Rs.3.50 (Rs. Three and half) per litre. If the rates of petrol and diesel are increased then inflation which is already very high will touch new peaks and leads to more burdened life for common people because when you increase petrol and diesel price the cost of transport increase and all sectors bears burns of it. The cost of vegetables (potato, tomato, onion, Brinjal, Ladyfinger, etc.) food items (wheat, pulses, rice, etc.) which automatically increase and may be double after 15 days.

Common men is in hope that good monsoon will give him some relief by bringing down the inflation but this initiative of government has crushed all hopes of common man. Government is saying that the move is being taken as a effort to save oil companies which are losing crores of rupees everyday due to increase in international prices of crude oil. Also government is planning to change the control mechanism of fuel prices and the petroleum product prices will go according to international prices in coming future, if it happens it may possible that in October you may have to buy to petrol @Rs70-75 per litre and pulses @Rs.100-120 per kg. and vegetables prices can not estimated.

I think government should increase the price of petrol in order to save oil companies but keeping in mind the already increased inflation and dying common man.

The Fuel Price control mechanism should be as going previously.
